Make a Difference – Be a Befriender
What made today successful you may ask?
I received calls both from someone who needed a befriender for her mother and from someone who was volunteering to be a "befriender". Not only that, but both living in Raanana.
It might sound nothing much to you, but I can't tell you how much pleasure it gave me being able to match them together. Hopefully it will work out.
If you know of someone who is lonely and would like a befriender to visit once a week to chat, have a drink, play cards, rummy cube, Scrabble and more, then please give me a call.
Alternatively, if you have a couple of hours to spare on a weekly basis, and would like to volunteer to make a lonely person happier, then call me as well.
It can be a very rewarding experience for both sides. (Training can be given.)
