Dr. Yoel Isenberg was born in Montreal, Canada. He received his B.Sc degree from McGill University in Montreal in 1974 and came to live in Israel that year. After serving in the Israeli Paratroops, he returned to Montreal where he studied Medicine at McGill U. and received his M.D. in 1983. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St Vincent's Hospital in New York City, and his geriatric fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He subsequently was a senior attending physician at Mt. Sinai and Baycrest Hospitals in Toronto, Canada. He returned to Israel in 1993 and has worked at Beilinson, Kaplan/Hartzfeld and Hadassah Hospitals. He is currently a senior staff physician at Shaarei Tsedek Hospital in Jerusalem, and a geriatric consultant to Clalit Mushlam.
