Edmund Jonah was born in Calcutta, India of Iraqi/Jewish parentage. The last seven years of his schooling was up in the Himalayan mountains, in Darjeeling. On a clear day the boys would wake up to see Kanchenjunga opposite them and it felt close enough to touch. He left India for London, U.K. at the age of 24 where after 10 years he made Aliyah to Israel with his new wife and brand new daughter (7 months old). They added two Sabra sons to the mix. He has sold several short stories worldwide and had a book published. His wife died 4 years ago. He keeps his chin up and enjoys his three children and three granddaughters all of whom have served in the IDF. He is proud of them all.
