David Lawrence-Young was born near Stonehenge, Wilts., UK and came on aliyah in 1968 after studying Education in Sunderland. Since then he has spent most of his time teaching and lecturing on history and English in high schools and universities. He has written 12 historical novels which have been published in the UK, the USA and Israel. He has also written a best-selling school textbook and contributed articles to Forum, an English teachers’ magazine and also to Skirmish, a military history journal, as well as writing a chapter of The Jewish Emigrant from Britain 1700-2000. He lives in Jerusalem, is married to Beverley, another English teacher, and has three children and three grandchildren. He plays the clarinet (badly) and is an exhibited photographer. His future plans include the publishing of two novels in 2014 about capturing Adolf Eichmann and the short life and early demise of Catherine Howard.
